The reception dress on the left (1883) was sold by Patrick Berria/Au Temps Jadis, and the one on the right (1884) by Time Travelers Antiques. Except for the color ("water green" for the French dress, celadon for the American), the only difference between the two seems to be the dark green piping on the French dress. The American dress has a label reading "Agnew & English, Phila," but the seller said it was "French constructed." The American dress was probably copied from a fashion magazine.
