Of all the skirts, which were unearthed in the old Scandinavian Cemetery in Herjolfsnes (today Ikigaat) in Greenland, probably the coat-like garment, which was awarded nummren 63 and 64 being the most impressive. Interestingly, the strongly reminiscent of the rather broad and pleated skirts depicted from 1300's final decades. An example is Thomas Occleves portrait of Geoffrey Chaucer from his The Registration Mine Principum from 1412 (12 years after the author's colleague's death).
