A large Murano chandelier, for Baglioni Spa Hotel Budapest,
This chandelier was designed in 2006 for the Baglioni Spa Hotel in Budapest. Building works for this famous 5-star hotel commenced in October 2006 and were completed 5 years later, in September 2011. The hotel and the banquet hall was attached to the ‚Racz Baths‘, which date back to the 16th century and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Provenance: Originally part of the interior of the Baglioni Spa Hotel in Budapest.

A rare, large mod. 'Petalas', designed by Jorge Zalszupin
in around 1959, for L‘Atelier Moveis, Brazil, sculptural construction consisting of eight individual table elements made of jacaranda wood, held together by a black lacquered metal frame. The underside with manufacturer’s adhesive label. Height c. 32 cm, width c. 130 cm, depth c. 120 cm. Slight signs of age and use, scratches and abrasions, minor isolated chipping. A rare, large, double-sided writing desk, designed by Lajos (Ludwig) Kozma,
Hungary in around 1930, classic, pared-down wood frame construction, walnut and rosewood veneer, brass drawers, each side with 9 lockable drawers, with key, usable on either side and free standing. Dimensions: height c. 70 cm, width c. 180 cm, depth c. 78 cm. (MHA) The writing desk was displayed at various, historical furniture exhibitions in Hungary. The present item is subject to conservation legislation (ASB).

(DRAX) Lacroix’s design of a lamp made of plexiglass tarpaulins was created at the same time as the radically modern ‘New Look’ of Christian Dior’s fashion, and anticipated the aesthetics of 1960s design. Germany 2022, solid oak, upholstered resting surface covered in lead, signed and dated: xaver 2022, height c. 22 cm, c. 140 x 40 cm. (DRAX) A unique item. With certificate. Xaver Sedelmeier uses fenders and protective materials in a new context, refining them through repurposing. This turns furniture into fetish-like ritual objects shrouded in an aura of untouchability, which prevents us from using them according to their original purpose.
