Lumpia Surabaya
This Lumpia is known as a street food in Surabaya, East Java Indonesia. Actually, there are several version of Lumpia or Spring Roll in Indonesia. One of them is from Semarang, Central Java. The roll is similar, they both using bambo shoot and the differences is Surabaya’s using a little bit of minced chicken and they put Soya bean paste in the sauce. The one from Surabaya is using Soya Bean in the sauce while not from Semarang.

Sate Padang Lidah
Sate padang is a speciality satay from Minangkabau cuisine, made from beef cut into small cubes with spicy sauce on top. Its main characteristic is the thick yellow sauce made from rice flour mixed with beef and offal broth, turmeric, ginger, garlic, coriander, galangal root, cumin, curry powder and salt.

Risoles Ragout
Rissole is a snack food in Indonesia, where they are called risoles (pronounced ‘riss-ol-less’). The skin is made from batter in the same fashion as a flat crepes. They are commonly filled with bechamel, chicken, and diced vegetables – including carrot, celery, common beans and potato. The filling is wrapped inside the skin, then the package is rolled upon breadcrumbs and fried in ample amounts of hot cooking oil.

You can fill the rolls with anything you like, mine I filled with mint leaves, cucumber, prawn and more veggies, so here is the simple and easy recipe. I bought the rice paper from the asian store but yesterday I saw they do have it in the Arabic store too.

Well well well , finally I decided to do this Churros recipe! My kids and hubby kinda loves Churros, but we haven’t found any good churros in Sweden beside in Liseberg Theme Park, which is now closed because of Covid-19. I couldn’t even find in my little town Halmstad, the one we ate at Båstad wasn’t that good att all 😦 So here is the recipe

Salmon Teriyaki
We are not fish eater but Salmon is always one of our family favorites! So many ways to cook this delicious fish. You can either just grill it with salt and pepper, you can do teriyaki, add lemon sauce and more. My daughter loves it with Lemon gravy while my son likes it with Teriyaki sauce. So as you see in the picture, I did 2 ways and the one without the lemon is for the teriyaki sauce.

DIY Green Pesto
Alright, making your own pesto, is not that hard actually ! I just picked some basils from my little garden I have back at my apartment. I saw that I have some green bell peppers and white fatali, so I decided to include it into my pesto. Since I don’t have any pine nuts at home, so I skipped the nuts , but you can add if you want, and your pesto will taste more delish 🙂

Martabak Telor
Martabak Telor is one of the popular street food in Indonesia. Martabak or Murtabak is of Middle Eastern origin and this is the Indonesian version of it. It is filled with minced beef, eggs and minced green onions wrapped on a thin wrapper then fried until it become crispy. Served with spicy vinegar sauce.
