Art Nouveau - Nature
On this board we highlight objects related to the famous art movement Art Nouveau (c.1890-c.1910). Nature was a central inspiration in Art Nouveau, manifested in diverse ways using stylised floral and organic forms to bring nature back to modern urban life. Crustaceans and dragonflies, orchids and irises, poppies and tulips: many flora and fauna appeared on Art Nouveau glassware, ceramics, interiors and in illustrations.
