Duart Castle, Isle of Mull, Scotland
Duart Castle or Caisteal Dhubhairt in Gaelic on the Isle of Mull, West Coast of Scotland. The castle dates back to the 13th century and is the seat of the Clan MacLean. In 1911 the 26th Chief of the Clan MacLean restored the castle. In 2012 the centenary of the 1912 restoration, the chief of the Clan Maclean announced that his family could no longer afford the upkeep of the castle and so in July 2014 an Restoration Appeal was launched.
