Bramley apple

The little "Apple Pie" muffins are made with Bramley apples, cinnamon and brown sugar and taste JUST like an apple pie without the pastry! They make a wonderful snack for any school or office lunch box and are lower in fat than normal muffins, with just 75g (3ozs) of butter in the whole batch.

This has a wonderful topping of sliced apples dredged with sugar, along with tender chunks of apple in the cake itself.

Celeriac and apple are great bedfellows and work so well together as a soup. This really is one of the dishes where you will recognise all of the flavours – celeriac, blue cheese, apple and walnuts. In the kitchen here at the pub we gain maximum flavour by infusing the celeriac skin in the stock

German cuisine includes a wide range of cakes and tarts, which are often made with fresh fruits, like strawberries, plums, cherries and apples, of course. Those in the know, who have access to Bramleys, choose them.

Traditional Apple and Rhubarb Pie. Juicy Bramley apples and tart pink rhubarb, flavoured with cinnamon and ginger snuggle under a blanket of crisp pastry.

Apple Sponge Eve's Pudding is a delicious Traditional British Apple Sponge Dessert. Often made with Bramley Apples. Dessert Apples will work just as well.

Apple and Blackberry cake is a brilliant way to use up the last of summer's blackberries. A soft and fruity bake that's sweet, moist, and packed with flavour. Perfect with an afternoon cuppa, or even custard.

It's Bramley Apple Week, apparently. Celebrate with my Bramley Apple Loaf Cake, made with homemade apple sauce. There's some left too for your Sunday Roast.

BRAMLEY APPLE CHUTNEY WITH INDIAN 5 APICE (Indian style Apple chutney)

This simple Dorset Apple Cake (Traybake) made with cooking apples (Bramley) and gently spiced with cinnamon is incredibly moist & delicious. Perfect on its own with cup of tea or slightly warm with ice cream or cream for dessert.
