Spouse writes: The eight geese and two dogs foul up the goose pond in about 4.5 days during the summer. The pond filter we have used for the last few years was a pressurized number that used an external pump. The old pond pump worked under horrible conditions. Undertaking the project of building a biofilter duckpond is no small feat. As I came to learn, being part of this project brought with it many lessons.

We bail ours out once a week and water the garden with it and refill.

I have been looking through the threads trying to find some way to keep the duck pool clean. Everywhere saying it can't be done, that ducks are just messy...
