This poster is a letterpress printed broadside printed from a linoleum block and wood type. Six inks were used in the printing process. Prior to printing the paper was treated with poured acrylics and splattered for some affect to evoke the atmospherics of a gardening season. The backgrounds lean towards either light blue or light yellow. The paper is Stonehenge 300gsm, natural and the inks are traditional rubber-based letterpress printing ink. The edition of about 70 is variable. The images shown represent a consistent appearance at about 95%. Each print will be slightly different from another. The saying is my own - one that came to me while contemplating the effects of living in a violent culture. I believe in it. The print will be shipped in a tube. One of my favorite RADIOHEAD lyrics, in black. (Everything in its right place.) My only complaint is that the song is too short. Thom Yorke is a genius.This original, hand-pulled linocut poster was printed in black on beautifully thick 100% cotton letterpress paper. The linoleum block is cut by hand, inked, then printed individually. Due to the printing process (which is done entirely by hand), there will be variations from print to print.
