Osa Rosti ART on Instagram: "Yesterday I started to papier- mache some of my wall masks. I managed to do 5 so far. However, they’re just half done because I do between 5-10 layers (or more) of paper strips on each one. Usually I do half and then dry them completely and then do the other half of strips. The more layers of paper strips you put on, the harder and more durable your art piece will become. It’s a lot of work but I truly do enjoy it….but yes I do get tired 😅. Experimenting with flowers. Had fun making and painting these. I'm sure there will be more. I used some discarded pieces of plastic packaging for the bases, and cut out cardboard petals to build up the blossoms. Covered all surfaces in masking tape. Smeared with paper mache clay. Love the texture. The finished product: Sanded, primed with gesso, and painted with acrylics and gold accent. They ought to make nice jewelry dishes.
