The 2000GT was Toyota's first real sports car. It was a limited-production front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer designed in. collaboration with Yamaha. It was first displayed to the public at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1965 and built briefly between 1967 and 1970 by Yamaha under contract. Just 337 were made including prototypes.
