I gave this assignment in my media techniques class last night. I projected the images below from my iPad on the screen to be used as reference. I told my class to create a tree that had at least one face in it. That's it. Then I started having fun. I didn't have any watercolor paper but I did have a gessoed board so I grabbed that and started drawing with a 12 cent papermate ballpoint pen. I spent a day in Las Vegas, Nevada, while traveling through the American Southwest in October 2008. Las Vegas is surrealistic and I can handle it for a day or two. This trip I only visited Caesar's Palace and the Venetian but it is always good fun. I took this photo inside the Bellagio.
