There are three different colors that went on before the dark wax. First I painted the chair with Annie Sloan graphite, after that dried next came a coat of Annie Sloan Paris gray applied to just the raised areas, then Annie Sloan Old Ochre on top of the Paris gray, then a coat of clear wax. Put on with a brush.....you do small areas at a time, wipe on and then wipe off, After that you apply the dark wax and wipe off making sure you get most off of the raised areas.
