Det är 18 grader varmt och allt har vaknat. Fjärilar i alla färger, humlor, tranor, småfåglar, krokus, pärlhyacint, blåsippa, scilla... Lina tar hand om gräsmattan efter vildsvinens obarmhärtiga framfart; katten hjälper till med krumbukter och kärlek. Jag diskar vid den gamla diskbänken; känner solen värma min rygg. Idag ska vi följa med A och titta på gård utanför Nybro. Det är den 5:e april och allt kan hända.

Shelly walks along the perimeter of the house, near the central living area. The design of the house, with its many rooms, nooks, and open family spaces, "was so ahead of its time," Shelly says, "that, to young people coming here, it still feels contemporary."
