Darkpunk City Architecture: Psycho-Noir Cityscapes of Hugh Ferriss
Darkpunk City Architecture: Psycho-Noir Cityscapes of Hugh Ferriss (These drawings are a little too upscale for anything I am wanting to do with a St. Louis-Based neitherworld in the mid-20th century - they look more like a retrofuture London or New York/Gotham) but this collection blends a lot of the themes I am wanting to capture for "Deco-Goth")
A detail of Désiré Despradelle's Beacon of Progress, which was inspired by the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition and was meant to be built on the site of the Exposition. Despradelle won numerous honors for the Beacon, and fully intended it to be built. The scale of the edifice is evident in the ant-like people at the bottom of the drawing. Indeed, the large final elevation drawing was fifteen feet tall by ten feet wide.
