smarin - urban furniture & sculptural seating - hemp&lime

An interest in our ecosystems and their balance led us to this proposition for the public space. smarin constantly explores organic forms, structures and textures. Narrative forms and set principles play with scale, reference points and persistent archaic images, provoking a sense of openness to a sensual inner world. While each object has its own specific contour and acts on its own, it is part of a set of complementary forms which, when combined, create a redimensioned landscape, adapted to the space it occupies and transformed by its presence. The particularity of this urban project is that it has the same qualities as a concrete project, but without the environmental impact: the hemp&lime project is carbon-neutral, and the elements are compostable.
