Difficulty: Medium
Supplies Used:
• Strathmore watercolor paper (it’s a good student-grade paper, but 100% cotton paper will give you the best results!)
• Royal & Langnickel round brush, size 6
• Tube watercolor paints of various brands (Reeves, Grumbacher, Master’s Touch)
• Glass pen to score the leaf veins (you could also use a toothpick or the end of a paintbrush)
• Paper towel (to tap excess water from the brush) and water jar
Notes:
• Lightly erasing pencil lines before painting prevents obvious lines from getting sealed into the paper when you paint over them.
• Make sure to score the leaf veins while your painting is wet.
• Paper warping is pretty much inevitable (I don’t prep/stretch my paper), but it can be flattened again. To flatten a warped painting, thoroughly wet
