This unit is a fun way for students to practice basic multiplication facts to 9, and also doubles. Students start with x0 and work through the drill in your designated time (I usually give them 1 min- 1:30 sec. If they complete it with 100% accuracy in the time allotted; they get to move onto the next test for your next timed practice. Each time they successfully complete a test; they receive a popsicle stick or “fry” in their fry box. Have students Practice these as many times as you can , and see them gain math fluency! Keep track of progress on your fry chart, display fry boxes on bulletin board…offer a reward for milestones….be creative!
