TEACHERS: HOW THIS WORKS? This file can be used for ANY CLASS!! This is a great game to use as a fun icebreaker with you class! This is a really fun resource to use on the first few days of school, to help you get to know your students, and they will also become a bit more comfortable with each other. Everything is all set for you (All the animations/links/transitions are set!). Please note that you can completely edit this file, so feel free to use what you want. USING THIS WITH YOUR CLASS NOTE: YOU MUST BE IN “PRESENT” MODE TO MAKE THIS ACTIVITY FUNCTION CORRECTLY, WHEN YOU USE IT WITH YOUR STUDENTS. Slide #4 shows the 20 different categories. Start on Slide #4 (in “Present” mode). Tell your class to choose a category on the screen. Click on the chosen category they asked for. Two questions will come up. One of those questions will be “voting question.” This is your chance to survey your classroom. Ask your class the question, and have them raise their hand to signal their choices. (“Raise your hand if you choose Choice A”, etc). Feel free to keep the tally on the whiteboard, so the class can see where they are agree and disagree. You can then move on to the “Thinking Question.” This is a good chance to generate some discussion, and start some fun and easy conversation. If students seem stuck on answering the question or the topic isn’t working, simply move on to another topic, by clicking the yellow arrow on screen. Use this for as long as you want! HAVE FUN!!
