Platycercus eximius, Eastern Rosella, native to southeastern Australia and Tasmania and introduced populations occur in New Zealand. Found in lightly wooded country, open forests, woodlands, gardens, bushlands and parks. The diet of eastern rosellas mainly consists of fruit, seeds, flowers and insects.
