From: Acquaresi Mine, Iglesias, Sardinia, Italy Size: 12.2 x 13.6 x 7.7cm Weight: 848g A large cluster of hematite coated calcite from Italy. Some of the broken crystals reveal the internal structure of this piece. The calcit itself is actually very clear, but the entire thing is covered in roughly 1mm of hematite-included calcite as the outer layer. So, as it was growing the clear calcite suddenly became included caclite. The specimen comes with a custom display base.
