Megan Moos| Wellness tips for rural moms on Instagram: "Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk Ingredients: 2 cups whole milk, almond, oat or any choice of milk 3/4 cup sugar, honey, or maple syrup 4 tablespoons salted butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pinch of baking soda Directions: In a medium saucepan, whisk milk and sugar together. Cook over medium low heat and bring to a low simmer while whisking often. once the milk has reduced by half, roughly around 30 minutes, remove from heat and sister in butter, vanilla, and a pinch of baking soda. Let it cool completely and store in an airtight jar in the fridge. It will continue to thicken once cooled in the fridge.
