After Frerin comes back, is given time to mentally and emotionally mature, Thorin speaks to him of the responsibilities Frerin will have as a co-husband and father to their family. Frerin is only developmentally in his 'teens' when returned, but physically 100. It is too overwhelming for him and he goes and lives with Fundin and Bala for many years to adjust. Yes, Bala and Fundin are brought back as well. I was told by Sulladad-Eru/Mahal-Aule/ The Prophecy to write this!!! They were in my head!
